एक तिनका

Hello students I have shared Ek Tinka एक तिनका in Hindi and English.

ऐंठा – अकड़ना या घमंड करना
- Aintha -Showing off or acting with arrogance.
मुँडेरे – छत के चारों ओर निर्मित छोटी दीवार
- Munderay – A low wall built around the edge of a rooftop.
तिनका – सूखी घास का छोटा टुकड़ा
- Tinka – A small piece of dry grass or straw.
झिझक – हिचक, लज्जाजनित संकोच
- Jhijhak – Hesitation or shyness due to embarrassment.
बेचैन – व्याकुल
- Bechain – Restlessness or unease.
मूँठ – कपड़े को मोड़कर बनाई गई छोटी मूठ या पुड़िया
- Mooth – A small bundle or packet made by folding cloth.
ढब – उपाय, तरीका
- Dhab – A way or method of doing something.
ताने – व्यंग्य या चुटीली बात
- Taane -Sarcastic remarks or teasing comments.

1. कवि के साथ अचानक कौन–सी घटना घटी ? उस समय कवि के मन में क्या भाव थे ?

जब कवि घमंड में ऐंठा हुआ था मुंडेरे पर बहुत हवा चल रही थी और कवि की आँख में तिनका घुस गया जिससे वह व्याकुल हो उठा।
वह बेचैनी में अपनी आँख नोच रहा था और उसकी आँखें लाल हो गयी।

1. What sudden incident happened with the poet? What were the feelings in the poet’s mind at that time?

When the poet was full of pride, the wind was blowing heavily on the parapet, and a straw got into his eye, causing him great distress.
He was anxiously rubbing his eye, and his eyes turned red.

2. आँख से तिनका कैसे निकला ?

जब कवि की आँख में तिनका गिरा तब वह दर्द मे तड़प रहा था और उसके आस–पास के लोग उसे बेचैन देख कर उसकी मदद के लिए जा पहुँचे।
उन्होंने एक मूठ बनाकर उसकी आँख से तिनका निकाला।

2. How was the straw removed from the eye?

When a straw fell into the poet’s eye, he was writhing in pain, and the people around him, seeing his distress, rushed to help him.
They formed a fist and managed to remove the straw from his eye.

3. आँख मे तिनका गिरने की घटना ने कवि के हृदय को किस प्रकार परिवर्तित किया ?

अहंकार से भरे कवि के मन में स्वंय को ही श्रेष्ठ समझने की भावना भरी हुई थी लेकिन उसके मन का यह भाव ज्यादा देर न रह सका ।
कवि का अहंकार उस समय चूर–चूर हो गया जब उसकी आँख में एक नन्हा तिनका चला गया।
उस तिनके को निकालने में सभी लोगों ने उसकी सहायता की ।
कवि की आँख में आराम मिल जाने पर कवि का हृदय परिवर्तित हो गया।
कवि सोचने लगा कि जिनकी मैं उपेक्षा करता था, उन सबकी सहायता से ही मुझे कष्ट से आराम मिला।
मैं बिना वजह ही सबके प्रति घमंड से भरा रहा।

3. How did the incident of the straw falling into the eye change the poet’s heart?

The poet, filled with pride, believed he was superior to others, but this mindset didn’t last long.
His ego was shattered when a tiny straw entered his eye.
Everyone around him helped remove the straw.
Once the poet found relief from his discomfort, his heart changed.
He realized that those he had disregarded had helped him through his pain.
He reflected on his needless arrogance towards everyone.

4. इस कविता से हमें क्या शिक्षा मिलती है?

जीवन मे जब कुछ श्रेष्ठ मिले, तब हमारे अंदर घमंड का भाव जागता है और हमें छोटी– चीज़े बेकार लगती है ।
पर हमें उनका महत्व भूलना नहीं चाहिए क्योंकि जहाँ सूई काम आए वहाँ तलवार का कोई मूल्य नहीं होता।

4. What lesson do we learn from this poem?

When we achieve something great in life, we often become arrogant and start deeming small things as insignificant.
However, we should not forget the importance of these small things because there are situations where a needle can be more useful than a sword.
