बाल श्रम का अर्थ है बच्चों का कामकाजी गतिविधियों में संलग्न होना। यह उनके विकास और शिक्षा में बाधक है। यह न केवल बच्चों के भविष्य को प्रभावित करता है, बल्कि देश की उन्नति में भी रुकावट डालता है। काम में लगे रहने के कारण बच्चे शिक्षा प्राप्त नहीं कर पाते, जिससे उनका कौशल विकसित नहीं होता। इसके अलावा, बाल श्रम से बच्चों के मानसिक और शारीरिक स्वास्थ्य पर भी नकारात्मक प्रभाव पड़ता है, जिससे उनका सामाजिक विकास रुक जाता है। बाल श्रम को रोकने के लिए जागरूकता फैलाना, शिक्षा को सस्ता और सुलभ बनाना और प्रभावी सरकारी नीतियों का कार्यान्वयन आवश्यक है। समाज में बाल श्रम के खिलाफ़ नैतिक जागरूकता का निर्माण करना भी ज़रूरी है, ताकि बच्चे अपने अधिकारों को समझ सकें और उज्ज्वल भविष्य की ओर बढ़ सकें। सभी के सहयोग से हम बाल श्रम को समाप्त कर सकते हैं।

Child labour means the involvement of children in work activities. It hampers their development and education. It not only affects the future of the children but also hinders the progress of the country. Due to being engaged in work, children are unable to get an education, and thus, their skills do not develop. Moreover, child labour negatively affects the mental and physical health of children, which stops their social development. To stop child labour, it is essential to spread awareness, make education affordable and accessible, and implement effective government policies. Building moral awareness in society against child labour is also necessary so that children can understand their rights and move towards a bright future. With everyone’s cooperation, we can end child labour.

भारतीय संस्कृति में त्योहारों का महत्त्वपूर्ण स्थान है। ये त्योहार माला के मोतियों की भाँति पिरोए हुए हैं। प्रत्येक त्योहार का अपना धार्मिक, सामाजिक तथा ऐतिहासिक महत्त्व है। ये त्योहार अलग-अलग ऋतुओं में पूरे हर्षोल्लास से मनाए जाते हैं और भारतीयों का जीवन अनुराग और उल्लास से भर देते हैं। इनमें होली, दीपावली, रक्षाबंधन, विजयादशमी, ईद-उल-फ़ितर, ईद-उल-अज़हा, क्रिसमस, ओणम, पोंगल, गुरुपूर्णिमा आदि प्रमुख हैं। सभी त्योहारों का विशेष महत्त्व है। जहाँ होली रंगों का सूचक है तथा जीवन में रंगों की विशेषता बताता है, वहीं ईद प्रेम का संदेश देता है। ओणम और पोंगल समृद्धि का बोध कराते हैं। क्रिसमस जीवन में लय लाता है। इस प्रकार प्रत्येक त्योहार का अपना एक विशेष महत्त्व है। ये सभी त्योहार भारतवासियों के जीवन को भाव-विभोर कर उत्साह से भर देते हैं। उत्सवों की यह परंपरा भारतवासियों के जीवन से जुड़ी है। ये त्योहार नित नवजीवन का संचार कर हमें एक-दूसरे से जोड़ते हैं। धन्य है यह भारतभूमि जहाँ त्योहारों की इतनी बड़ी श्रृंखला है, जिससे भारतवर्ष पूरे वर्ष प्रकाशित रहता है।

Festivals hold an important place in Indian culture. They are strung together like pearls in a garland. Each festival has its own religious, social, and historical significance. These festivals are celebrated with great joy in different seasons, filling the lives of Indians with love and happiness. Major festivals include Holi, Diwali, Raksha Bandhan, Vijayadashami, Eid-ul-Fitr, Eid-ul-Azha, Christmas, Onam, Pongal, Guru Purnima, and others. Each festival has special importance. While Holi represents colors and the importance of colors in life, Eid gives the message of love. Onam and Pongal symbolize prosperity. Christmas brings rhythm to life. In this way, every festival holds its own unique significance. All these festivals fill the lives of Indians with emotions and enthusiasm. This tradition of celebrations is deeply connected to the lives of Indians. These festivals renew life daily and connect us to one another. Blessed is this land of India where such a vast series of festivals keeps the nation illuminated throughout the year.

अनुच्छेद 3: मेरा भारत महान (India – A Great Country)

मेरे देश का नाम भारत है। मुझे अपने देश पर गर्व है। मेरा भारत विश्व का सर्वश्रेष्ठ देश है। मेरा भारत उत्तर में हिमालय से लेकर दक्षिण में हिन्द महासागर तक फैला हुआ है। मेरे देश में अनेक राज्य हैं, जैसे-पंजाब, हरियाणा, हिमाचल प्रदेश, राजस्थान, उत्तर-प्रदेश, बिहार, केरल, आंध्र प्रदेश आदि। मेरे देश के प्रमुख नगर हैं- कोलकत्ता, मुम्बई, दिल्ली और चेन्नई। दिल्ली इस देश की राजधानी है। भारत में अनेक धर्म हैं। इनमें आपसी प्रेम और भाईचारे की भावना है। मेरे देश की संस्कृति महान है। इस देश में अनेक महापुरुषों ने जन्म लेकर प्रेम और शांति का संदेश दिया है। यहाँ की प्राकृतिक शोभा देखते ही बनती है। विश्व के पर्यटक यहाँ आने को तरसते हैं। मेरा भारत महान है।

My country’s name is India. I am proud of my country. My India is the best country in the world. My India stretches from the Himalayas in the north to the Indian Ocean in the south. My country has many states, such as Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, etc. The major cities of my country are Kolkata, Mumbai, Delhi, and Chennai. Delhi is the capital of this country. India has many religions. There is a sense of mutual love and brotherhood among them. My country’s culture is great. Many great personalities have been born in this country and have spread messages of love and peace. The natural beauty here is breathtaking. Tourists from around the world long to visit here. My India is great.

अनुच्छेद 4: मेरा प्रिय त्योहार: दीपावली (My Favorite Festival: Diwali)

हमारे देश में अनेक त्योहार मनाए जाते हैं। इन त्योहारों में मुझे दीपावली का त्योहार सबसे अधिक प्रिय है। दीपावली का त्योहार कार्तिक मास की अमावस्या को आता है। स्कूल, कॉलेजों में दीपावली की लंबी छुट्टियाँ रहती हैं। दीपावली से पहले लोग अपने-अपने घर की साफ-सफाई करते हैं। घर-घर में तरह-तरह के पकवान बनाते हैं। दीपावली के त्योहार पर हम नए कपड़े पहनते हैं। हम खूब पटाखे फोड़ते हैं। मित्रों के साथ खूब खेलते और घूमते हैं। दीपावली के दिन हमारे घर में चहल-पहल रहती है। रात में गणेश जी और लक्ष्मी जी की पूजा होती है। दीपावली के दिनों में हमारा सारा परिवार खुशी से झूम उठता है। इसलिए दीपावली मेरा प्रिय त्योहार है।

Many festivals are celebrated in our country. Among these festivals, Diwali is my most favorite. The festival of Diwali comes on the new moon day of the month of Kartik. There are long holidays in schools and colleges during Diwali. Before Diwali, people clean their houses. Various delicacies are prepared in every home. On the festival of Diwali, we wear new clothes. We burst lots of crackers. We play and roam around a lot with friends. On the day of Diwali, our home is full of activity. In the evening, Lord Ganesha and Goddess Lakshmi are worshipped. During the days of Diwali, our whole family is filled with joy. That is why Diwali is my favorite festival.

अनुच्छेद 5: किसी रोमांचक यात्रा का वर्णन (Description of an exciting journey)

गर्मी की छुट्टियाँ शुरू हो गई थी। हम सब दोस्तों ने मिलकर मसूरी जाने का कार्यक्रम बनाया। हम दिल्ली से बस द्वारा मसूरी पहुँच गए। रास्ते में धूलभरी आँधियाँ चल रही थी। वहाँ का मौसम बहुत सुहावना था। वहाँ पहुँच कर हमें गर्मी से मुक्ति मिली। यहाँ पहाड़ों के दृश्य बहुत सुंदर थे। वैसे भी मसूरी पहाड़ों की रानी कही जाती है। हमने पहाड़ों पर चढ़ने का फैसला किया। रास्ते में अनेक कठिनाइयों का सामना करना पड़ा, परंतु रोमांच के कारण थकान का अनुभव नहीं हो रहा था। रात में भी बर्फ से ढकी चोटियाँ साफ दिखाई दे रही थी, प्रकृति के इस दृश्य को आँखों में संजोए हम सो गए। दूसरे दिन हमने नौका विहार किया, अनेक दर्शनीय स्थल देखे। इस प्रकार हमारी रोमांचक यात्रा पूरी हुई।

The summer holidays had begun. All of us friends planned a trip to Mussoorie. We reached Mussoorie by bus from Delhi. On the way, dusty storms were blowing. The weather there was very pleasant. Upon reaching, we were relieved from the heat. The mountain views here were very beautiful. After all, Mussoorie is called the Queen of the Hills. We decided to climb the mountains. We faced many difficulties on the way, but due to the excitement, we did not feel tired. Even at night, the snow-covered peaks were clearly visible. We went to sleep with this beautiful sight etched in our eyes. The next day we went boating and saw many tourist attractions. Thus, our exciting journey was completed.
